FLORENCE & MILLY

Florence & Milly is a ceramic art business that is home to Laura Barry, a resident mixed media artist, and her furry colleague – therapy dog Belle. Laura is passionate about sharing her love of art and clay with people of all ages and welcomes everyone to experience it. Ceramic Art is a calming and therapeutic experience that helps to relieve stress and allows you to immerse yourself in the art world.

Artist Laura has relocated to the sunny southeast and is in the process of setting up her new Home Studio. Keep an eye on this space for updates!

Laura Barry

Laura Barry, Owner, Mixed Media Artist, Potter

Laura founded Florence & Milly in 2015, when she was simultaneously working as a nurse in Tallaght Hospital. She earned her bachelor’s in science degree from Trinity College in 2010 and formerly A graduate of Dunlaoghaire College of Art and Design and Public Relations Institute of Ireland. Laura affectionately named the studio after her creative originators, her grandmothers, Artist- Florence Agnew and Magnificent Baker- Matilda Barry.

You can find Laura at her studio any day of the week making pottery, painting, or handcrafting her much loved commission pieces. When she is not elbow deep in clay, paint, or coffee, you will find Laura spending time with her daughter Leah and family, reading and enjoying nature.

Therapy Dog

Belle, Golden Doodle, therapy dog, friendliest staff member

Belle is a beautiful, bouncy, fluffy therapy dog that absolutely adores people. She is the true heart of the pottery family and encourage customers to feel better about their day just by her company and warm-hearted affection. Her long fluffy tail sometimes gets her into trouble with lower lying objects but thankfully her true love is food, so the pottery is safe for now. If at first, she are out of sight, it is probably because she are having a nap or on occasion, a day off.
